 Before registering for VIMANTRA 2013, kindly ensure you have read through the following rules, regulations & guidelines carefully.


 

 

 

Guidelines

•    VI MANTRA is a Technical Paper Contest for Research Scholars
•    We are looking for practical solutions to real-life challenges
•    Teams can be individual or have a maximum of three members
•    Professor Guides are not necessary though welcome
•    Submission of both abstract and final paper should follow the prescribed pdf format to vimantra@ni.com
•    Preferred Font size – Times New Roman, 12
•    Use of LabVIEW for written application is not compulsory though appreciated
•    It is necessary that each team sends a completely filled and signed ‘Right to Publish’ document along with the final paper submission

Participation criteria

 You are eligible to enter this Contest if you meet the following requirements

•    You are a research scholar – i.e. you are currently pursuing post graduation or doctoral studies
•    You are a student of a Registered Educational Institute in India
•    You are NOT an employee of National Instruments Corporation or an employee of a National Instruments subsidiary.
•    You are NOT involved in any part of the administration and execution of this Contest.
•    You are NOT an immediate family (parent, sibling, spouse, and child) or household member of a National Instruments employee, an employee of a National Instruments subsidiary, or a person involved in any part of the administration and execution of this Contest.

How many members per team can participate?

Contesting can be individual or from a team which can have a maximum of three members. Professor Guides are not necessary though welcome.

How do I Participate?


 Register yourself or your team for the contest. At the first stage, you will need to submit an abstract about your idea for the technical paper. After clearing the first stage, you will enter into the contest for submitting your final technical paper. More details will be communicated later.

How will the entries be judged ?

Following is the judging criteria

30% Originality – Is your idea creative and new?
20% Technology used – What type of technology have you used to describe your application?
30% Relevance – How relevant and realistic is the solution?
10% Successful – How capable is the proposed solution able to address the problem?
10% Judges Remarks – Overall judges remarks for the paper.
Please note the judging results will NOT be shared with participants. The results, once announced, will be final and complete.

Abstract Submission Details

Register here and submit your abstracts to Vimantra@ni.com in a pdf format before May 31st 2013.
Word limit for abstract = 500

The .pdf paper should include the following details:

1) Title of the application
2) Institute Name
3) Name & details of the team members (Maximum team size is 3, Details include phone number and email ID of all team members)
4) Complete postal address of one (with pin code and city name)
5) Professor or Guide’s name (if any)
6) Problem addressed / Challenge identified
7) Abstract (Maximum 500 words)

How do I Submit my Abstract?

 

Send your abstract .pdf file to Vimantra@ni.com before May 31, 2013.
 
Final paper submission
If your abstract is selected, you will receive a mail from us.

The final paper should include the following details:
1) Title of the application
2) College Name
3) Name & details of the team members (Maximum team size is 3, Details include phone number and email ID of all team members)
4) Complete postal address of one participant (with pin code and city name)
5) Professor or Guide’s name (if any)

Did you use any National Instruments products for your application?
